Dundee Waterfront sites released early
Planners yesterday opened up four sites for offers in response to high demand and said the redevelopment of the area is progressing ahead of schedule. Projects include a rail station, a £45 million V&A museum and a commercial and leisure marina.
The combined area now available is the size of more than 13 football pitches.

Hide AdMike Galloway, director of city development at the city council, said the level of interest in the project was “very encouraging”.
He said: “The growth in leisure and tourism spend alone will generate very attractive opportunities for hospitality, visitor attraction and support sectors. The release of this land will broaden the range of development choices.”
There are plans for five additional hotels in the waterfont area, to meet an expected surge in visitors between 2015 and 2025.
