A Glasgow-based drinks business is looking to shake up the market with the launch of its Scotch whisky cocktail.

Òrach is the brainchild of Scottish entrepreneurs James Doig, Dave Millard and David McLauchlan. The ready-to-drink cocktail incorporates a double shot of blended whisky with natural flavourings. So far two flavours have been launched – strawberry, vanilla and ginger beer; and lemon, lime, mint and ginger ale.

The business trio has also secured a listing with supermarket chain Aldi with the two products piloting in 65 stores across Scotland.

Doig said: “It’s an exciting time for the ready-to-drink sector of our business and we are delighted to now have a listing in Aldi.

“We are an ambitious young company and in preparation for scaling up we have created four new job roles with the aim of creating a further five in the 12 months to come. We are currently in talks with a number of other retailers.”
