The firm aiming to create Scotland's first commercial gold mine has made two key appointments.

David Swan, who has acted as finance director of several exploration and mining companies in Australia and the UK has been named chief financial officer of Scotgold Resources, the Aim-quoted miner.

The firm, which is developing plans for its Cononish site within the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, also said Australian chartered accountant Gabriel Chiappini has succeeded Peter Newcomb as company secretary.
