Sterling effort for new garden centre

FURNITURE retail chain Sterling will today open a £500,000 garden centre at its flagship store in Tillicoultry.

The centre - which also includes a food hall and clothing department - has created eight jobs.

Managing director Gordon Mearns said: "Furniture will remain at the heart of our business but, with destination shopping growing, we are keen to broaden our appeal."
