‘Glorious’ Goodwood racecourse see profits rise
The Goodwood Revival and Festival of Speed motorsport meetings helped group turnover for the year to end-December 2014 rev up 9 per cent to £73.3m, from £67.2m in 2013.
The company – ultimately owned by a family trust, which during the period won sponsorship from Qatar of its summer horse racing festival – paid out a dividend of £658,000 last year.

Hide AdThe highest-paid director, thought be to be Lord March, was paid £216,000.
While the lion’s share of the income at the course, near Chichester in Sussex, comes from the sporting events, Goodwood’s assets also include a 3,000-acre organic farm, golf courses, vintage aeroplanes and a 94-room hotel.
Stars from the motor racing world who attended this year’s Festival of Speed event included Sir Jackie Stewart.
