British Airways has cancelled all flights from Gatwick airport
A spokesperson for BA confirmed: ‘Due to the considerable restrictions and challenging market environment, like many other airlines, we will temporarily suspend our flying schedule at Gatwick.
‘We are contacting affected customers to discuss their options.’

Hide AdThe planes will be grounded from tomorrow (April 1) though essential maintenance functions will continue.
There is no current news of the company laying off staff.
This move comes on the tail of Easyjet grounding their entire fleet and Ryanair cut down 80% of their flights after travel was discouraged to reduce the spread of coronavirus.
The Scottish Government’s latest statistics show that there have been 1,563 positive cases of coronavirus across Scotland.
