Alexander rises up to ask for funds

Author Alexander McCall Smith joined Jacobites to launch a funding appeal to Parliament for a centre dedicated to the Battle of Prestonpans.

The launch coincides with an exhibition at the Scottish Storytelling Centre of sections of the Battle of Prestonpans Tapestry.

The Battle of Prestonpans Heritage Trust is asking the Scottish Government to provide 5 million towards an interpretation centre and purpose-built tapestry pavilion in Prestonpans.
