Annie Lennox slates Aberdeen garden project

SCOTS singer legend Annie Lennox has blasted plans from Aberdeen’s £140 million garden project, branding it a “dog’s dinner of crap concrete”.

She also launched a scathing attack on the “decline” of her home city.

Writing on her Facebook page, which has half a million followers, Lennox, 57, said she hardly recognised her once “splendid” city.

She claimed the plans to transform Union Terrace Gardens would be “ravaging the only authentic, historical green space in the city”.

Aberdeen City Council is due to hold a full council vote on the issue in August.
