Axe-wielding thief targets bookmaker

AN AXE-WIELDING robber who threatened staff at a bookmaker is being hunted by police.

The man went into Ladbrokes in Fernbank, Livingston, at about 6pm on Sunday. He brandished the axe at two staff members before jumping over the counter and stealing a three-figure sum of money.
