Celebrations begin as revamped pub opens

A BAR near Tollcross has reopened after a £160,000 refurbishment.

The Chanter Bar in Bread Street, managed by Lorna Crawford, is staging a fortnight of special events to celebrate.

The programme includes "All the fun of the Fair" on Saturday and a free gig with The Banana Sessions on Sunday. The pub plans to continue quiz nights on Mondays and Thursdays and a movie night will take place every Tuesday from 4pm.
