Chest what doc ordered

NURSES have been stationed at the front door of a Lothians hospital to better advise people attending A&E with chest pain.

Health chiefs introduced the specialist chest pain nurses with a view to cutting the number of admissions to St John's Hospital in Livingston by a fifth at that part of the building.

It is hoped, as part of the front door redesign, that patients will also receive better care thanks to seeing a specialist sooner.
