City student not guilty of sex charge

A FORMER public schoolboy accused of continuing to perform a sexual act on a university cheerleader after she had begged him to stop has been cleared of sexual assault by a jury.

Christopher Brown, 21, a second year business management student at Napier University, met the 20-year-old woman outside Lulu's nightclub in the Capital.

She agreed to go home with him. They began to have sex and the woman claimed she told Mr Brown to stop, but he just kept going – something he denied.

Eventually she ran from the flat and told a cabbie she had been raped.

At the High Court in Livingston, a jury took less than two hours to find Mr Brown, of Lasswade, not guilty of sexual assault.
