Economist offers up his account of banking crisis
His talk, entitled "Narrow banking and all that", is at the Playfair Library in Edinburgh University's Old College on 16 February at 6pm. Entry costs 20.
Mr Kay is an influential member of the Scottish Government's Council of Economic Advisers.

Hide AdThe event, part of the David Hume Institute spring seminar series, will be chaired by Professor Donald MacRae, of Lloyds Banking Group Scotland.
Jeremy Peat, director of the David Hume Institute, said: "The closer we get to the John Kay seminar the more relevant it becomes. John will be talking about matters banking, no doubt referring to his 'narrow banking' ideas which have gained support from the Governor of the Bank of England and now the President of the US, but also covering issues regarding the banking sector here in Scotland."
