Flashmob stunt makes a big noise

HUNDREDS of drummers, dancers, kazoo players and percussionists are set to gather in the city for a flashmob event.

The colourful group are set to gather in Edinburgh's High Street - previously West Parliament Square - all wearing colour-coded "see you Jimmy" hats, which will be provided for free.

Also taking part at the event on Saturday morning at 11.30am will be Edinburgh Samba School and youth drum group Pulse of the Place. The dance team will be led by leading Scottish street dancer Allan Irvine from Freshmess.

A jazz horn section including Jazz scat maestro Freddie King and bagpiper Finlay MacDonald are also due to perform.

Anyone over 10 years old is invited to take part, although under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
