Go Ape park opens at Beecraigs Country Park

A TREETOP adventure playground in West Lothian was finally set to open this morning – nearly two months behind schedule – after staff finally cleared disclosure checks to work with children.

Go Ape, at Beecraigs Country Park, was forced to delay its opening and cancel bookings while it awaited the results of "extensive vetting checks" from Disclosure Scotland.

The forest adventure park was unable to obtain an operating licence from West Lothian Council without the certificates, and had to cancel 125 bookings after realising it would not get its licence in time.

A Go Ape spokeswoman said: "We are really happy to open our doors this weekend."
