Hoppers off to a flyer at games day

Hundreds of Pupils from across the Capital were taking part in the 12th annual Edinburgh Airport Youth Games recently.

Catriona Johnston, 13, from Boroughmuir, Hayley Munro, 14, from Firrhill, and Katie Swan, 15, from Firrhill, were getting serious about the space hopper race.

More than 1600 pupils were expected top take part in the events, aimed at encouraging sporting participation amongst youngsters, especially those who do not enjoy as many opportunities for physical activity.

Among the sports to feature were athletics, football, dance, climbing and swimming.
