Hundreds turn out to raise cash for Kai
His parents, Pamela Neilson and Calvin Laidlaw, were told last week that the disease had returned. They are currently with Kai at the Yorkhill hospital in Glasgow.
In an effort to make the Leith family’s life easier, best friends Pauline Bowie and Danielle Leadbetter arranged the charity event in Muirhouse on Sunday.

Hide AdMore than £1200 was raised. Meanwhile, Sheila and John Gowans from Edinburgh also donated a remote control car for Kai to drive.
Pauline said: “We had an amazing turnout and community support.
“The day was emotional, but Danielle and I are now planning the next event.
“Childhood cancer has to be highlighted as much as possible to raise awareness for this awful disease.”
Pamela told the News that the money raised will be used to “spoil” her son.
