A package discovered in a Leith bar that was destroyed by a bomb disposal unit last night contained no suspicious material, police have confirmed.

A controlled explosion was carried out on an envelope that turned out to contain paper.

The building on The Shore in Leith, Edinburgh, was evacuated and a cordon put in place while emergency services dealt with the incident at around 8.30pm last night.
