Man held over mugging

A MAN has been arrested and charged over the mugging of a pensioner.

The 20-year-old was charged in connection with the handbag snatch carried out in the tunnel from Bingham to Craigmillar at about 8am on 22 January.

The 62-year-old woman was taken to the ERI for treatment on a shoulder injury. The man was set to appear at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday.
