Motorist faces drugs charge

A MAN was charged with possession of cannabis after a car was stopped by police.

The 29-year-old had been driving on the A199 at Haddington last Friday when he was pulled over by officers at around 10pm.

Following the alleged discovery of the drug, the man, from East Linton, was taken to Haddington police station and charged.

Meanwhile, a 26-year-old woman from Haddington was charged with a breach of the peace after causing a disturbance at the town's Boots chemist last Friday evening
