Hold class-cutting critics to account

A YEAR or so ago Ewan Crawford wrote a column (Insight, 24 August, 2008) arguing ring-fencing for education or anything else runs counter to the spirit of devolution. Shouldn't those who have been most vociferous in blocking action to cut class sizes be held to account at least as much as the Scottish Government for their local communities? Your deputy editor (Kenny Farquharson, 28 February) should re-read Crawford and have second thoughts.
