Public platform

The Prime Minister, David Cameron, has said he will not take part in the general election TV leadership debates unless the Green Party is included.

Surely prospective candidates for political office have a moral duty to present themselves for public scrutiny in such circumstances. I believe this is particularly important for those who seek leadership positions.

Perhaps the time has come when this should be a legal requirement and not a matter of choice for those seeking office.
