Trust and Trump
Ken Currie (Letters, 30 June) makes a valid point about Alex Salmond’s empty promises over the Trump development, and is sensible when he warns us about politicians and their promises. However, he misses the point when he uses his distrust of the First Minister as an argument against independence.
If enough of the Scottish people disapprove of the First Minister and his government’s actions, they can be removed at an election. The same cannot be said for the Prime Minister and his UK government.
