Orange walk on the move

UP to 4000 marchers are expected to take part in an Orange parade through Prestonpans, East Lothian, on Saturday.

The parade, which will include 42 bands, has been organised by the County of The East Loyal Orange Order to celebrate the 321st anniversary of the Battle of the Boyne.

It is being held in Prestonpans this year to celebrate the centenary of East Lothian District Loyal Orange Lodge.

The parade will start at noon from the Mary Murray Park in Prestonpans and will follow a route along East Loan, Preston Road, Schaw Road, Appin Drive, High Street, Ayres Wynd, Preston Road and East Loan. It will take approximately 50 minutes to pass any point.

Visiting buses will be parked at Meadowmill Sports Centre from 11am until 3.30pm.
