Plea of innocence, 37 years on

A MAN who insists he was not part of an armed robbery almost 37 years ago was back in a courtroom yesterday in a bid to prove his innocence.

George Davis, 69, was jailed in 1975 over a raid in April 1974 at the London Electricity Board in Ilford, Essex. He wants his convictions for robbery and wounding with intent to resist arrest overturned.
