Police were called to an immigration removal centre after a man climbed on to the roof.

Officers attended Dungavel House in South Lanarkshire on Wednesday to offer assistance after being alerted by staff.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 6pm on Wednesday June 22, police were called to a report of a man on the roof of Dungavel.

“Officers attended to assist staff, however the situation was resolved by staff at the centre.”
