Probe after taxi runs over pedestrian

POLICE have launched an investigation after a taxi driver appeared to deliberately run over a pedestrian in Edinburgh.

A spokesman said the man had been walking home after a night out when he got into an argument with the driver of a black cab. The driver then did a U-turn and drove at the man, striking him and leaving him with head injuries.
