Scots buck savings withdrawal trend

ABOUT 36 per cent of Britons admitted to raiding their savings accounts during the three months to October, withdrawing an average of £2,130 each, according to Birmingham Midshires.

But Scots increased their savings levels the most, depositing an average of 1,381, compared with 833 three months earlier.
