Teen facing drug charge

A TEENAGER was charged with possession of cannabis after police officers detected a small smell of the drug coming from his car.

The 17-year-old boy, from the Gorebridge area, was stopped by officers on patrol in Danderhall last Friday evening.

After a search, he was found to be in possession of cannabis, and was taken to Dalkeith police station and charged.

Meanwhile, a 47-year-old man was charged after police found him in possession of 60 worth of heroin in Loanhead last Thursday.
