Roadworks set for Rest and Be Thankful pass
Traffic lights will control a 0.75-mile stretch of the trunk road for nine weekdays between 7 and 17 May during “essential maintenance”, operating company BEAR Scotland said today.
The firm said the road, which is used by more than 4,000 vehicles a day, had become worn, with the work designed to “resolve current carriageway failures”.

Hide AdIt follows more than £3.7 million being spent to reduce the impact of landslides on the road, which has been hit several times over the last few years.
BEAR spokesman Eddie Ross said: “The works have been carefully planned to minimise delays to road users.
“Whilst the convoy system may result in some disruption, this is necessary to ensure the safety of both motorists and road workers alike during the works.”
