TV cameras roll for new episodes of The Scheme

Camera crews have been filming updates for the BBC's controversial show The Scheme.

Six families from the Onthank estate in Kilmarnock, Ayrshire, were the focus of the four-part show.

The BBC had to postpone the broadcast of the final two episodes last May due to pending legal action against a person who had not yet been seen on the programme.

The show proved a hit for the broadcaster, attracting 420,000 viewers for the first episode and more than 700,000 for the second.

A bull terrier named Bullet became the unlikely star of the series, with more than 10,000 people joining a fan page set up for the pet on social networking site Facebook.

It is not yet known when the rest of the series will be screened. BBC Scotland said: "We are looking forward to transmitting the series in its entirety but have no firm information at this point as to when that will be.
