BA pilot faces two smuggling charges

A BRITISH Airways pilot has been accused of smuggling thousands of cigarettes and about 20 litres of spirits into the UK.

Andrew Creelman, 54, faces two charges under the Customs and Management Excise Act for allegedly trying to avoid paying duty on the alcohol and tobacco between October 2010 and December 2011.

British Airways said it would not comment while the matter is sub judice.
