Marines unveil new super-hovercraft

THE Royal Marines yesterday unveiled their latest weapon, the next generation of super-powered hovercraft.

The 1 million armour-plated hovercraft have thermal imaging cameras, machine gun turrets and can move at 35 knots.

Officially known as the Landing Craft Air Cushion (Light), they can carry 16 marines and race across water, ice and mud.
