Soldier injured in Afghan blast dies in hospital
He was from the The Queen’s Royal Hussars (The Queen’s Own and Royal Irish)
The Ministry of Defence said the serviceman was surrounded by his family at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

Hide AdHe was treated in Afghanistan and the UK after he was wounded on 3 February in the bomb blast.
Task Force Helmand spokesman Major Ian Lawrence said: “Sadly, I must report that a soldier from The Queen’s Royal Hussars has died of wounds sustained in an IED (improvised explosive device) strike on February 3 2012.
“The thoughts and condolences of everyone serving in the Task Force are with his family and friends.”
The soldier’s family has been informed, the MoD said.
