Ukulele band is up in Arms

SCOTLAND's foremost ukulele band FC Ukulele is one of the headline acts at this year's Caledonian Folk and Blues festival at the Guildford Arms.

The Edinburgh-based five-piece, which features a bass, baritone, tenor and electric ukulele as well as percussion, has been together since 2006 and will make its third appearance at the festival in as many years.

Folk band Yard Of Ale will host the festival, which runs from August 19-28, with a different guest act supporting on each night. FC Ukulele takes to the stage at the Guildford Arms on August 21 and 28.
