Woman hurt in bag snatch

A WOMAN suffered a fractured ankle after locking horns with a bag thief.

The 34-year-old was forced to the ground as she tried to cling on to her belongings during the attack at the entrance of Sincyr Park on Thursday.

A police spokesman said the victim had been "deeply upset" by the attack that took place at around 5.30pm in Dundas Street, Bonnyrigg.

The suspect, who was wearing a dark hooded top, jogging bottoms and white trainers, is white, between 22 and 24 years old, 5ft 8ins tall with a stocky build. He has a stubbly tanned complexion with moles on his left cheek and short dark brown hair.
