Schoolgirls in hospital after Lockerbie bus crash
The two 17-year-olds are pupils at Annan Academy but were travelling to Lockerbie Academy in a minibus when the crash happened on the B723, about a mile south of Lockerbie, at around 10am on Monday.
One girl suffered a spinal injury and was taken to Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary while the other is being treated for a serious leg injury at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow. Their condition has been described as stable.

Hide AdA 72-year-old woman who was driving the Renault also suffered a leg injury and is being treated at Dumfries and Galloway Royal Infirmary.
The 61-year-old male driver of the minibus was treated for minor cuts and bruising but has since been released from hospital.
Police are appealing for any witnesses to the crash to contact them.
