A 14-YEAR-old girl suffered a "horrifying" sexual attack in bushes near a busy Glasgow bus station on Friday night.
The girl was raped close to Buchanan Street Bus Station in the city centre at 8.45pm on Friday.

The girl was with a male friend in the bus station when she was approached by two men in their late teens or 20s.

One of the men, who had short blo
nd hair and a scar on his cheek, took the girl to an area of undergrowth off Cowcaddens Road, a few hundred yards north of the bus station.

Police said he subjected her to a serious indecent assault while his accomplice waited with her friend.

The girl managed to escape and return to her friend, who reported the incident.

Detective Inspector Douglas Weir, leading the investigation, said: "This was a particularly horrifying ordeal for a teenage girl and it's vital we trace the individuals involved.

"The bus station is likely to have been busy at this time of night and I would appeal to anyone who might have seen the two suspects before or after the incident to come forward, as they may have important information to give this inquiry."

Police are also examining CCTV footage from the bus station to try to identify the men.

The attacker was described as being in his late teens, about 5ft 10in tall and of slim build.

He was said to be wearing a red Berghaus jacket with a white hooded top with blue horizontal stripes underneath, blue jogging bottoms and tan-coloured rigger boots.

The second man was described as being in his early 20s, around 5ft 10in tall, with a sallow complexion and dark, short hair.

He was described as wearing a black tammy hat, black jacket, blue denims and white trainers.

If Scotland allows these savages to go unpunished, then Scotland can only point fingers at herself when others resort to such behaviour.
These two savages need to be found, and they need to be locked up for the rest of their lives. Not 5 years, not 10 years, but eternity.
They need to be punished, they need to live a life of hell in a prison cell and NEVER see the light of day again.
If society does not do that to them, then society fails to advance.

#2 nonsense, Rape is a crime on a par with murder, its probably a worse crime than murder for the victim and family, who live with it daily for years - by the sound of the story, the two idiots had it planned out what they were going to do. Scotland would be a better place without them.

i agree with 2... rape is as bad as murder for the victim and their family. And remember this was a child, a young girl, who will have to live with this for the rest of her life.

I hope the young girl recovers and the scumbag gets caught but the only actual quote from the police in that report says she was subjected to an 'indecent assault', it seems to be the journalist that has decided it was a 'horrifying rape'.

#4 Come on, think about it, 2 guys - obviously not right in the head, they cant handle the drink or drugs they were on and cant handle walking past a 14 year old child without attacking her...Clearly a danger to my society - dunno about yours...

OK, so maybe they werent drinking or drugging....so they done this sober.....

#6 Rape or no rape they were prowling and assualted a 14 year old child in a city centre, friday at 9pm.......

There is no way on this earth that "Rape" is as bad as murder....it is a horrendous crime but to suggest that being sexually violated is as bad as losing a member of your family is just ridiculous....a rape victim can get support and help to get on with the rest of their life....they may well be a changed person and suffer along with their family because of that but a murder victim and their family have fk all...

14-years-old? In a bus-station at 8:45p.m.?
And why would she go off with the man? Or were the men known to her and her friend?

donek ~9,

I would say the first part of your question has little relevance, at 14years old 8.45pm is not late, question is, why did she go off with this animal, one cannot call him a man in my books.

Regardless of the time or place, or who or who she did or did not know. Evey Woman should be and feel safe, to walk our streets, be where they want, without being attacked by anyone.

This vicious attack on a young girl at an impressionable age, will affect her for the rest of her life, she may never be able now to have a normal relationship with any man, be married have a family etc, even if she has the best counseling.

Unfortuanatly when caught, no punishment will fit the atrocious crime that has been committed.

Charles...some animals behave with more class than some humans ever will...there is no malice aforethought with their behaviour....I think that you meant to call this scumbag a "Monster"...

Cankers ~11,

I apologize to "Animals" as you rightly say Cankers, even some (I would say most) animals would more respect, I meant to say, "lesser than animal".

Girl under 14years of age in China, under Chinese law,the rapists,if found guilty would (dependant on age and circumstances)face a death sentence.
Rape is so common place in UK "and they can get support etc, etc".Ambulance at the foot of the cliff as usual. In many countries, muslim for instance, it is a death sentence for the victims.
The Chinese hold their children in higher regard obviously than some of the folk in the UK do.
Paedophiles sex offenders commit this atrocity every day in UK.They are caught, smacked on the hand with a wet bus ticket and almost encouraged to re-offend.
No re-offending in China if they are caught, tried and executed.

Glad,at last,to notice above have come to some agreement,on this 'Rape'report,on 14 yr.old girl,It's ridiculous when Asian countries recognise absolute humiliation of a young person, male or female, our legal system just proves how dickension wer'e living in,having, almost daily,to read such animal behaviour from this generation, how long before we,or these kangaroo courts allow these offences to be committed,on innocent people, and hand-out punishment fitting to match the offences?..
