A 14-YEAR-old girl suffered a "horrifying" sexual attack in bushes near a busy Glasgow bus station on Friday night.
The girl was raped close to Buchanan Street Bus Station in the city centre at 8.45pm on Friday.
The girl was with a male friend in the bus station when she was approached by two men in their late teens or 20s.
One of the men, who had short blo
nd hair and a scar on his cheek, took the girl to an area of undergrowth off Cowcaddens Road, a few hundred yards north of the bus station.
Police said he subjected her to a serious indecent assault while his accomplice waited with her friend.
The girl managed to escape and return to her friend, who reported the incident.
Detective Inspector Douglas Weir, leading the investigation, said: "This was a particularly horrifying ordeal for a teenage girl and it's vital we trace the individuals involved.
"The bus station is likely to have been busy at this time of night and I would appeal to anyone who might have seen the two suspects before or after the incident to come forward, as they may have important information to give this inquiry."
Police are also examining CCTV footage from the bus station to try to identify the men.
The attacker was described as being in his late teens, about 5ft 10in tall and of slim build.
He was said to be wearing a red Berghaus jacket with a white hooded top with blue horizontal stripes underneath, blue jogging bottoms and tan-coloured rigger boots.
The second man was described as being in his early 20s, around 5ft 10in tall, with a sallow complexion and dark, short hair.
He was described as wearing a black tammy hat, black jacket, blue denims and white trainers.
