Cult hero: Thomas Skuhravy

THIS Czech striker, who became the second-top scorer in the 1990 World Cup with five goals, was a hero at Genoa CFC, the oldest football club in Italy.

His bulk and height (6ft 4in) troubled defenders and he formed a deadly partnership with Uruguayan Carlos Aguilera, the pair scoring 15 goals each in the 1990-91 season, when goals were hard to come by in Serie A. Genoa finished fourth that season and the pair shot the club to the semi-finals of the Uefa Cup in the following season. He won 49 caps and now runs a nightclub and is a TV pundit in Genoa.
