Hearts' potential Championship title decider moved for live TV coverage on BBC Scotland

Hearts could win the SPFL Championship slightly earlier than anticipated thanks to BBC Scotland.

Friday, April 9 is now the Jambos’ red letter day – if Robbie Neilson’s team can defeat Dunfermline on Saturday.

The clash with Alloa, originally scheduled next Saturday, has been brought forward to be screened live on the BBC Scotland channel in a match which could crown the Championship winners.

Kick-off will be 7.45pm for the pivotal match – but its significance also depends on the outcome of this weekend’s fixture at East End Park.

Hearts need two more wins to seal the deal, starting on Saturday when they seek to redress a nightmare week which included a Scottish Cup exit to Brora Rangers and home league defeat to Queen of the South last Saturday at Tynecastle. The Pars are also looking to bounce back after being humbled 5-1 in the Fife derby by Raith Rovers on Tuesday.

Dunfermline’s match with Dundee has also been scheduled for TV on April 18.
