What will the next three weeks bring in the transfer window in Scottish football. In the lower leagues there will likely be plenty of movement with clubs still building their squad for the late starting and truncated season. In the top-flight, the 12 squads are by and large finished with tweaks needed more than anything else.
Managers are able to get an idea of what is still required and also what players they really don’t want to lose.
With that in mind we have looked at some of the players who could be on the move and potential transfers which could yet happen.
1. Mihai Popescu to Hearts
The Romanian centre-back is ‘90 per cent’ certain to sign for the Tynecastle side ahead of their Championship campaign. The position needed filled after John Souttar’s injury. Photo: SNS Group Craig Foy
2. Tom James to exit Hibs
It is fair to assume Tom James’ time at Hibs is coming to an end. Back in June it was revealed opportunities for the player would be restricted. A return to English football would not surprise. Photo: SNS Group Alan Rennie
3. Daniel Bachmann to Kilmarnock
This is still a very faint hope for Kilmarnock fans. Bachmann was excellent on loan at the club two seasons ago and it was hoped he would return this season. However, he has been involved with Watford following their relegation to the Championship and impressed in the Carabao Cup. Photo: SNS Group Rob Casey
4. Tom Rogic to leave Celtic
It emerged last month that Tom Rogic was the subject of a tempting £4m bid to move to Qatar. The move fell through but at the right price Celtic would likely be open to doing a deal. Photo: SNS Group Craig Williamson
