A Scottish-based company has spread its wings into Spain as it continues to lead the way in helping fill job vacancies in golf with the right people.

Golf Jobs, set up by Glasgow man Darren O’Donnell in May 2019, provides a dedicated platform for employers and job-seekers within the industry worldwide.

The site brings together job vacancies from around the world onto one platform, making the hiring process simpler for employers and candidates trying to find their ideal match.

The company has already worked with some of the key employers, including the R&A, Gleneagles, Marriott Resorts, St Andrews Golf Club, Burhill Group, England Golf and American Golf.

Now it has moved into the Spanish market, with O’Donnell delighted about the opportunity to support the country’s clubs, hotels, manufacturers and other golfing establishments.

“Golf Jobs will be supporting golf industry employers across Spain by simplifying the process, meaning a quicker, more effective hiring process,” said the CEO.

“We work in partnership with golf industry employers, providing a recruitment solution tailored to the employer’s needs, no matter the size of the employer, from small golf clubs and apparel brands, to multi-site resort groups.

“Our support and account management for our clients always goes above and beyond, ensuring we become an extension of the business and trusted partner.”

O’Donnell created the business as a way of helping to streamline recruitment in all areas of the golf world.

“Jobs within the golf industry are incredibly varied and encompass many skillsets; from club managers and PGA professionals to greenkeepers and course managers,” he added.

“I saw a gap in the market for a dedicated service to help organisations find the right personnel, and for passionate candidates to get their start in the industry or continue their career in new avenues.”

The company has just taken on an account director in New Zealand and is also in talks with potential partners for Ireland while Scottish Golf and other unions/associations are doing likewise.

“I have always had a passion for recruitment and software solutions,” added O’Donnell, who is on the council at his home club, Haggs Castle.

“This is undoubtedly the ideal scenario in bringing my professional career together with my sports passion, delivering an industry-changing solution for employers and candidates.”
