Raith powered to a second league win in a row after an electric start with two goals in the first 13 minutes.

Mark Ferry fired Raith into a seventh-minute lead with a perfectly-placed shot beyond Lee Robinson.

Raith's dream start continued with a second goal on 13 minutes with John Baird tapping home from Gregory Tade's perfect cutback.

Queens got back into the game after the restart when Carmichael notched his first club goal, firing home from a Paul Burns cross.David Weatherston missed a great chance to equalise when he fired wide. Queens had Craig Reid sent off for a late challenge on Graham Weir and sub Jamie Mole ended the contest with a calm finish.
