Whitehill boss ready for a test at Bo'ness tonight

WHITEHILL WELFARE manager Paul Cavanagh tonight takes his East Seniors Premier Division runners-up from last season to meet the current East Region Super League Champions, Bo'ness United, at Newtown Park, kick-off, 7.15 pm.

Whitehill's two pre-season friendlies so far include a 4-3 defeat from a Raith Rovers XI and a 3-0 victory at the weekend against Dalkeith Amateurs.

"Saturday's game against Dalkeith was good from an exercise point of view and we came through the 90 minutes unscathed," said Cavanagh.

Whitehill's goals were scored by new signings Scott Gormley and Ross Aitchison along with Andrew Kidd.

"Tonight against Bo'ness will be a completely different game and Whitehill, as the underdogs, are looking forward to a good test and challenge," added Cavanagh. "I am well pleased with the way our new players have settled in and how things are progressing generally."

Bo'ness, meanwhile, defeated West Super League team Petershill 3-0 at home on Saturday with goals from David Love (2) and Chris McFadyen.
